FAMT organized a seminar on “Sustainable Technologies in the Automotive Industry” to create awareness among students about sustainable engineering practices and environmentally responsible innovations in the automotive sector. The session aimed to familiarize students with emerging trends that are shaping the future of sustainable mobility and transportation.
The seminar was delivered by Mr. Prakash Sardesai, Vice President – Professional and Faculty Development, SAE India, who was welcomed by Prof. Harshal R. Salvi. During the session, Mr. Sardesai highlighted the importance of sustainability in the automobile industry, discussing topics such as reducing vehicle emissions, the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), energy-efficient technologies, and advancements in sustainable mobility. He also introduced students to the initiatives of SAE India and emphasized its role in enhancing technical knowledge, professional development, and career opportunities for engineering students.
A total of 94 students participated in the seminar and actively engaged in the interactive session. The programme provided valuable insights into the evolving automotive industry, encouraging students to explore sustainable technologies and contribute towards developing environmentally responsible engineering solutions.
