CSR Projects
INTRODUCTION
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Projects are structured initiatives supported by the corporate sector under the legal framework of the Companies Act, 2013, aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable development. These projects allow registered Public Charitable Trusts/Societies and not-for-profit organizations to receive dedicated funding and support for implementing impactful community-driven programs.
As a not-for-profit Public Charitable Trust/Society, Hope Foundation undertakes CSR Projects that align with its core mission of delivering educational excellence, promoting health and well-being, driving social upliftment, and enhancing environmental sustainability. Through well-defined and transparently managed CSR Projects, Hope Foundation aims to bring meaningful transformation in the lives of underserved communities by addressing critical needs in education, skill development, healthcare, livelihood generation, gender equality, environmental conservation, and rural development. Overview
FAMT, Ratnagiri (www.famt.ac.in)
Educational institutions are envisioned as principal agents for addressing the sustainability challenges of various aspects that society is facing. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is transformational and concerns learning content and outcomes, pedagogy, and the learning environment. ESD entails rethinking the learning environment (physical and virtual) in line with sustainable development, which implies classrooms’ transformation towards learner engagement, formative assessments, and active methodologies.
In the upcoming era of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, it is highly desirable to have technology driven processes in teaching learning. FAMT has always ensured to impart excellent technical education in light of future developments in the field of technology. As a part of this endeavor, all required parameters have been made available online for students, faculty and staff. Moreover, students and faculty were offered free online courses through various global platforms like Coursera, EDX, and IBM Skills Build etc. FAMT is also a nodal centre of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) through which certificate courses designed by the IIRS are conducted. As a part of this process, FAMT proposes to transform regular physical classrooms (blackboard-chalk) into SMART CLASSROOMS. All these technology driven processes will help in teaching-learning, assessment, training of students etc.
FAMT also proposes to introduce upgraded facilities for its Training and Placement (T&P) Cell considering the importance of T&P in a professional institution. Over the last five years, students of FAMT are being placed in various companies of repute. However, with changing times and demand of the industry, it is felt that more dynamic facilities should be provided to the T&P Cell for improvement of its performance.
FAMT has introduced Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) recently and propose to develop high end computing laboratory for the said course.
In addition to academic excellence awards and merit scholarships, fee concessions and fee waivers along with several other categories of awards are instituted every year comprising technical awards, cultural awards, social awards, sports awards and the like for the benefit of the student community.
