The “Pralhad P. Chhabria Research Center (PPCRC),” was established in the year 2016 in memory of Late Shri. Pralhad P. Chhabria, iconic businessman and the Founder Chairman of the Finolex Group of Companies. His lifelong commitment towards fostering social development in India, led him to establish “Hope Foundation and Research Centre” that pursues its charitable objectives in the fields of medicine, education and research.
PPCRC is a unit of the Hope Foundation’s International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT) established to promote research.Research, Development, Consultancy and Collaboration Cells (RDCC) have been formed at both FAMT, Ratnagiri and I²IT, Pune to undertake funded and sponsored research projects, explore consultancy works, guide Faculty and Staff to address issues of research as well as organise programs to infuse research culture amongst the Faculty, Staff and Students.

The Research & Development team of the Institute has a vast experience of over 20+ years in software development, managing software development and sponsored research consultancy projects with International agencies such as United Nations, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Thailand, Erasmus+, US AOARD, French Ministry of External Affairs and the Government of India. This team has a perfect blend of skill sets and expertise in software product designing, developing, commissioning and support to project planning, budgeting and other related aspects. Our experience in international collaborative research in niche domains and tailored capacity building programs, keeps our pace up with market trends, innovations and research. Our team’s agility and adaptability is at par to handle any software development projects and applications ranging from oil & gas to healthcare sector and land to deep space mapping.
We have in-house expertise in all the latest IT technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Mobile App Development (Both iOS and Android), Web Apps, which are used for full stack development. The overall advantage of the Research Team is being in the midst of an academic institution and having access to a huge technological resource pool.

Capacity Building in Space-Based Disaster Management Support" under ISRO’s DMSP
I²IT, in collaboration with RedR India has secured a prestigious project on “Capacity Building in Space-Based Disaster Management Support” under ISRO’s DMSP
The National Workshop on Disaster Management, funded by the government, convened experts and enthusiasts for a week of intensive learning and collaboration. Participants engaged in interactive sessions and practical exercises, focusing on cutting-edge techniques and community resilience. Key topics included risk assessment and emergency planning. The event fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas, shaping the future of disaster management.
