Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop

International Institute of Information Technology participated in a three-day Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop held from 16th to 18th February 2026 at MIT Arts, Commerce and Science College.

The workshop was organized to create awareness among NSS volunteers and students about the growing importance of cybersecurity and responsible digital practices in today’s digital era. Expert sessions were conducted on topics such as cyber laws, online frauds, digital privacy, safe internet usage, phishing attacks, secure browsing, network protocols, firewalls, and cybercrime detection.

Participants also gained knowledge about important provisions of the Information Technology Act and methods to identify and prevent cybercrimes. Various interactive activities, awareness campaigns, and cultural initiatives were conducted to spread cybersecurity awareness among the public.

The workshop provided practical exposure and enhanced the digital safety awareness of the volunteers. NSS participants actively engaged in discussions and learning sessions throughout the programme and were honored with certificates and medals for their active participation. Overall, the workshop successfully strengthened awareness about cybersecurity and responsible digital behavior in society.
