Cleanliness Drive at Hinjewadi

The International Institute of Information Technology organized a Cleanliness Drive at Hinjewadi on 7 February 2026 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM under the guidance of Dr. Sandeep Varpe, NSS Programme Officer. Around 40 NSS volunteers actively participated in the activity with the aim of promoting environmental cleanliness and creating awareness about maintaining hygienic surroundings.

During the drive, volunteers cleaned areas near fire extinguisher points, the surroundings of the I2IT campus, nearby locations around Mahindra School, and other areas in the Hinjewadi region. Waste materials, especially plastic and other non-biodegradable items, were collected to ensure a cleaner and safer environment.

The initiative encouraged teamwork, social responsibility, and community participation while spreading the message of “Swachh Bharat, Sundar Bharat.” Through this activity, the NSS volunteers demonstrated their dedication towards community service and environmental sustainability.
