I²IT organised an industrial visit to the Environment Conservation Association to provide students with practical exposure to e-waste management and its environmental implications. The visit aimed to create awareness about e-waste generation, appropriate disposal techniques, and the importance of responsible electronic waste management for environmental sustainability.
During the visit, students gained practical insights into industrial processes involved in e-waste collection, segregation, recycling, and safe disposal. The interaction helped them understand the technologies and practices adopted for managing electronic waste and highlighted the environmental challenges associated with improper disposal. Students were able to relate their academic knowledge to real-world practices in waste management and environmental conservation.
The visit enhanced students’ understanding of sustainable e-waste management practices and responsible handling of electronic waste. It also encouraged them to recognise their role in promoting environmentally responsible practices in society, while strengthening experiential learning and awareness of sustainable environmental solutions.
