The NSS Unit of the International Institute of Information Technology and Finolex Academy of Management and Technology celebrated Shiv Jayanti with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit to honor the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
At I2IT, the Tithi-wise Shivjayanti celebration was held on 6 March 2026 and began with the ceremonial arrival of the Bhagwa Dhwaj, symbolizing courage, pride, and women empowerment. The idol of Shivaji Maharaj was worshipped with traditional rituals, followed by a powerful Shivgarjana presented by a girl volunteer. Inspiring speeches, patriotic songs, and a special skit titled “Shivrayanche Jivanpushpa” highlighted important events from Maharaj’s life, including the Panhala meeting, Purandar treaty, Agra visit, Rajyabhishek, and the Palana scene depicting his birth.
Similarly, FAMT organized a grand Shiv Jayanti celebration with enthusiastic participation from more than 150 students. The programme commenced with a symbolic Mashal Daud from Ratna Durga Fort to the FAMT campus, followed by a spirited procession and Mashal Rally accompanied by traditional Dhol-Tasha performances. Students also presented an energetic Powada performance paying tribute to the bravery and leadership of Shivaji Maharaj. The celebration concluded with a formal Pooja and Aarti to honor his inspiring legacy.
Both events successfully promoted patriotism, cultural pride, leadership values, discipline, and awareness about the rich heritage and ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj among students and volunteers.
