The NSS Unit and representatives of the Social Science and Community Services Course at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Ratnagiri, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 10 February 2026 in the college Badminton Hall.
The camp aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and create awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad, who encouraged students and staff to actively participate in this humanitarian initiative.
A dedicated team of doctors and medical professionals from Civil Hospital conducted the camp, ensuring strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Prior to donation, all participants underwent medical screening, including hemoglobin, blood pressure, and general health assessments.
Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the camp. A total of 70 units of blood were collected, making the event a significant success. Refreshments were provided to all donors, and certificates of appreciation were distributed in recognition of their valuable contribution.
The programme reflected the institution’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, reinforcing the message that a simple act of donating blood can help save lives and make a meaningful difference in society.
