The Training and Placement Cell at I²IT organized an Expert Session on “AI in 5G and Beyond” for SE and TE Computer Engineering students on 11th April 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Munir Sayyad, Assistant Vice President at Reliance Jio Infocomm.
Dr. Sayyad provided a comprehensive overview of mobile communication technologies, tracing the evolution from 1G to 5G, and discussed the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in next-generation wireless networks. He explained how AI technologies like machine learning and deep learning are revolutionizing areas such as network optimization, predictive maintenance, dynamic resource allocation, and automation.
A notable part of the session included the application of Bloom’s Taxonomy to technical learning. Dr. Sayyad encouraged students to move beyond theoretical understanding to application, analysis, evaluation, and innovation—especially in the context of AI and 5G technologies.
The session was insightful and engaging, effectively connecting academic concepts with real-world applications, and inspiring students to explore AI-driven innovations in communication networks.
