Biodiversity Park Clean-Up Drive

In collaboration with the Aasamant Benevolence Foundation – Biodiversity Park, MIDC Ratnagiri, the Department of MCA organized an Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) activity on 29th March 2025 at the Biodiversity Park, MIDC Ratnagiri. The primary objective of the drive was to remove non-biodegradable waste—such as plastic wrappers, straws, rubber, and glass bottles-from the park and its surrounding areas.

In addition to the clean-up drive, students also actively participated in watering existing plants and carrying out new plantation activities, reinforcing the importance of nurturing green spaces.

The collected plastic waste was carefully segregated and sent for recycling, while the remaining garbage was disposed of using eco-friendly methods. Waste collection bags were provided by the Biodiversity Park authorities to ensure proper and responsible disposal. In a world that often rushes forward at a breakneck pace, the Aasamant Benevolence Foundation stands as a beacon of harmony, working tirelessly to foster a sustainable future. For over 11 years, Aasamant has been deeply rooted in nurturing the most sacred elements of life—children, nature, and music.

A total of 149 students from First Year and Second Year MCA enthusiastically took part in the drive and contributed to restoring the park’s natural beauty.

This initiative not only promoted environmental consciousness and sustainability but also instilled a deep sense of social responsibility and teamwork among the students.
