The Swacchata Hi Seva campaign was successfully conducted at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, on 30ᵗʰ September and 1ˢᵗ October 2024. This two-day event was part of the national initiative to promote cleanliness and hygiene in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean and self-reliant India.
A total of 23 volunteers actively participated, focusing on cleaning the campus and raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
On the first day, volunteers undertook a campus-wide cleanliness drive, cleaning various areas including corridors and outdoor spaces. The participants worked enthusiastically to create a cleaner, more organized environment by collecting and properly disposing of waste.
The second day emphasized waste reduction, recycling, and proper waste segregation. Volunteers also encouraged broader participation in the Swacchata Hi Seva movement, highlighting the importance of sustainable waste management practices.
The campaign successfully instilled a sense of responsibility among participants and reinforced the significance of cleanliness in everyday life. It was a valuable contribution to FAMT’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and hygiene, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the campus community.
