FAMT organised a program to commemorate the 150th year of the National Song “Vande Mataram.” The event was held at Room No C 1/5 on 7 November 2025, in the presence of the Principal, Dr Kaushal Prasad, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students.
The program commenced with a welcome address, highlighting the significance of “Vande Mataram” as a symbol of unity and patriotism. It was emphasised that the song holds a special place in every Indian’s heart, being known and sung from childhood without formal instruction.
The Head of the First Year Engineering Department, Dr. Dhammapal Nangare, addressed the gathering and spoke on the historical background and cultural importance of “Vande Mataram.” The address inspired students to uphold the values of respect, unity, and devotion to the nation. All attendees stood together for the collective singing of the National Song, which created an atmosphere of pride and reverence. On account of this event, an Essay Writing Competition was held where students participated actively. Students were requested to sign the attendance sheet and complete the feedback form circulated via the WhatsApp group.
The program concluded with the slogan “Vande Mataram” echoing through the hall, marking a heartfelt tribute to 150 years of India’s National Song.
