Session on ‘How to Plan for Start-up: Legal and Ethical Steps

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML), in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC), organized an Expert Talk on the topic “How to Plan for Start-up: Legal and Ethical Steps” on 11th April 2025 at 11:30 AM.

The session was open to all FAMT students and focused on the vital legal and ethical considerations involved in launching a start-up, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity in the digital age. A total of 31 students attended the session.

The expert speaker, Dr. Akshay Phatak, owner of IT Computer Solution, brought a unique perspective combining technical expertise and entrepreneurial insight. Dr. Phatak holds a Doctorate in Astrology and is certified as both a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

His engaging talk covered foundational steps to launching a start-up, highlighting the importance of legal compliance, ethical responsibility, and data security. The session encouraged students to pursue responsible innovation and laid a strong foundation for sustainable entrepreneurship.

This event proved to be an enriching experience for aspiring entrepreneurs, bridging the gap between technical innovation and ethical business practices. The Department extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Akshay Phatak, IIC, and IEDC for making the event a success.
