To mark International Women’s Day, the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) organized a Self-Defense Workshop for Women on March 7, 2025. The session was led by Mr. Ram Karra, Chairman of the Choi Kwang Do Association, Ratnagiri, with the aim of empowering women through self-defense skills and personal safety awareness.
Dr. S.B. Kulkarni, Dean of Faculty, welcomed the guests, while Dr. Sharada Chougule, ICC Convener, emphasized the importance of the ICC and the necessity of such training for women. Student coordinator Ms. Gayatri Suware introduced the speaker. Mr. Karra spoke on the importance of self-defense and demonstrated practical techniques, which were actively practiced by students under his guidance.
