On Monday, 15th April 2024, a talk titled “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar as Motivational Idol and His Role in Safeguarding the Rights of Workers and Farmers” was held to commemorate the 133rd Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Dr. D. S. Nangre provided a brief biographical account of Dr. Ambedkar, highlighting his perseverance in overcoming adversities to complete his education. Emphasizing Dr. Ambedkar as a source of motivation and an idol, Dr. Nangre detailed his efforts in advocating for the rights of citizens and employees, ensuring dignity and security for workers.
The talk encouraged students to emulate Dr. Ambedkar’s dedication and commitment to national betterment, likening his approach to that of an ideal engineer. The event, attended by 74 students and 4 faculty members, was introduced by Dr. Y. G. Mulye, Head of the First Year Engineering Department, with Prof. Darshana Bapat anchoring the program.
