Maintenance Engineering: Theory & Industrial Practices

For the 125 final-year Mechanical Engineering students, FAMT arranged a 52-hour program on Maintenance Engineering: Theory and Industrial Practices in conjunction with sessions on in partnership with Finolex Industries Limited, Ratnagiri.

Machine problem detection, diagnosis, and prognosis are covered in the B.E. Maintenance Engineering Laboratory Course. Mr. B N Jadhav, General Manager (Central Engg. Services), Finolex Industries Limited, was invited to lead the course with the goal of providing the students with real-world experience. Through theory sessions held at the institute, the mechanical maintenance issues—such as unbalancing, misalignment, bearing flaws, and mechanical looseness—were thoroughly covered.
