The seminar on the importance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in industrial automation, organized by the Electrical Engineering Department of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, aimed to provide attendees with valuable insights into these crucial technologies. The event was held on 9th February 2024 and witnessed active participation from 64 students.
The seminar had several key objectives aimed at advancing participants’ expertise in the field of engineering. Primarily, it sought to deepen their understanding of DCS and SCADA systems, ensuring alignment with contemporary engineering practices and principles. Additionally, the event promoted a culture of lifelong learning through presentations and discussions, encouraging continuous education and skill development in DCS and SCADA technologies. This approach aimed to keep attendees abreast of industry advancements. Practical demonstrations and case studies were integral to the seminar, highlighting the effective utilization of advanced DCS and SCADA tools. These sessions empowered participants to enhance productivity and efficiency in industrial processes. Furthermore, the seminar emphasized the importance of solution-oriented design, inspiring attendees to develop innovative solutions tailored to industrial challenges, in line with outcome-based education objectives.
