Webinar on Advances in VLSI-FPGA Design

A Webinar on Advances in VLSI-FPGA Design: An Industry perspective and Career Opportunities was organized by the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering on 07 March 2022 for the students of TE and BE E&TC students, and the faculty members.

Mr Ritesh Belgudri, FAMT Alumnus, was the resource person for this webinar. Mr Ritesh Belgudri is a member of technical staff, EdgeQ, Banglore and has worked as Field Applications Engineer at Intel Corporation, Bengaluru.  He was also associated with Axlware Technologies (Indian Subsidiary of Futura IT Solutions, UK,) as a FPGA Architect and with Unizen Technologies, Bangalore as FPGA Design Engineer for four years.

The session was started with the welcome and introduction of Mr Ritesh Belgudri. Dr Sharada V. Chougule, the HoD, introduced the objectives of the webinar i.e. to get information about FPGA design flow, applications of FPGAs, career opportunities in this domain, and current industry trends. Mr Ritesh explained the hardware details of the MAX10 FPGA board and some FPGA boards. He suggested some projects to students and advised learning by doing. The students and faculty members interacted with the guest speaker on various aspects of the VLSI FPGA.

The session was ended with a vote of thanks. The webinar was attended by a total of 31 students and faculty members
