A webinar was organized on the topic “Covid 19, Agritech and Food Security” by Dr. Shweta Sinha (Ph.D., MBA, B.Engg.),Assistant Professor in Environmental Technology at Pridi Banomyong International College, Thammasat University, Thailand.
The Presentation started with the linkage between Covid 19 and the Food security and rice market during Covid 19. Speaker also shared the role of ICT in agriculture. Speaker also shared that Digital technology in agriculture is evolving. Speaker has explored many things related to opportunities in agritech and food security. The session was very informative and the speaker’s detailed explanation definitely made it very easy for us to understand the topic too in a very short period of time.
Participants have understood the need for modern agritech for our country. Participants also understood the need to take good practices and technology from other countries and then as an engineer’s come up with Suitable and affordable technologies for our farmers.
