Hope Foundation’s FAMT Student Chapter celebrated the ‘World Environment Day’ on 5th June 2020. The program was conducted on Google Meet, an online platform, due to the current scenario caused by the pandemic. Dr. Milind. S. Kirkire (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department) expressed the views about sustainable development and conservation of energy sources in his inaugural speech.
Mr. Prem Rasik Kolte briefed the participants on the background of World Environment Day, conservation of conventional energy sources and utilisation of renewable energy sources. Ms.Vaishali Ramchandra Arekar delivered a presentation on ‘Asbestos and Its Effect on Environment’. A few videos on World Environment Day and Biodiversity were shown to all participants. The program ended with a thanks note by Mr. Tejas Santosh Tupe (ISHRAE FAMT Chapter President) followed by a digital selfie.
