Bhatye Beach Cleanup Drive

The Information Technology Department of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, in association with the ACM Students’ Chapter, organized a Bhatye Beach Cleanup Drive on 28th March 2026. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to sensitizing students toward social responsibility, environmental awareness, and community engagement alongside technical education.

The drive began with a cleanliness pledge, followed by an active beach cleaning session. Ten students from the department participated enthusiastically, collecting and removing waste such as plastic bags, wrappers, and bottles from Bhatye Beach. In addition to the cleanup activity, students interacted with visitors and the public, encouraging them to maintain cleanliness and reduce the use of plastic, a major contributor to marine pollution.

The initiative received positive feedback from SE and TE students, who expressed interest in conducting such socially impactful activities on a regular basis.
